Director’s Message

The Directorate of Management Information System (MIS) aims at providing an accurate and comprehensive set of information to help students, faculty, and management make key decisions. In this regard, the team of Directorate of MIS with support of the top management of the university has developed an easy to use secure Web Portal providing opportunity of using environment friendly paperless attendance submission system running on 24/7 basis for all Undergraduate (B.E., B.Arch., BBA, BS), and Postgraduate (ME, MS, MBA, M.Phil and Ph.D) Programs offered at MUET, Jamshoro and SZAB Campus, Khairpur Mir’s.

Portal can easily be accessed and used by the students and faculty members inside and outside the campus. Instantly updated information on the portal helps the students as well as parents to check the day to day class attendance and meet the minimum required 75% class attendance in each course student registered to stand eligible for appearing in the examination. Portal’s date wise attendance logs are also generated which are used by faculty members and associate teaching staff to maintain their course files. On the basis of collected information through the portal, at the end of each session comprehensive end semester reports are generated to be used to finalize the eligibility status of around 6000 undergraduate students and 1000 postgraduate students.

Besides, this Directorate provides as the need may be, the necessary information to all academic departments/institutes/centers, Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC), Students’ Welfare Office, and also some other non-academic / admin offices and departments of the university such as Registrar Office, Examinations, Finance, Planning & Development and Admissions and etc for their use and at times for onward transmission to HEC Pakistan, HEC Sindh and other accreditation bodies through proper channel.
